Tn politics appear easy. Dmk vs aiadmk. Karuna. Vs jaya. But reality seem to be a little more complicated with vaiko., vijayakanth., ramdoss, and cho ramaswamy etc.
do these other characters have any real muscle?
Why would bjp annoy jaya by aligning with these other characters?

Contrary to the reports published in the so called "national" newspapers , magazines and television channels, none of the parties can win in TN without any strong alliance. Jayalalitha or Karunanidhi were never formidable or unbeatable. They have NOT won a single assembly or parliament election without a strong alliance partner. Each party DMK / ADMK holds a 20-30% voteshare and for winning it requires the extra percentage votes offered by DMDK / PMK / Congress / Communists et.al.  BJP is a non existent party in TN, in the last elections where it stood alone it got 1.5+ percentage votes..
