NEW DELHI — A 51-year-old Danish tourist was gang-raped near a popular shopping area in New Delhi after she got lost and approached a group of men for directions back to her hotel, police said Wednesday.

#3 is already happening. Media has been doing a commendable job covering these news, even covering the incidents occurred in rural areas. Stricter laws and quicker trial courts is on the government.

I've heard people say the exactly opposite too - that Delhi was a fine cultured city at the time of partition, and the Punjabi immigrants from Pakistan changed the city's character and made it a rude city.

Nirbhaya case and many subsequent tourist rape cases are instances where victims are participating in a relatively normal activity in relatively visible places. It is disturbing that in those normal situations, a group of deviant can form into a force to trap, coerce or hoodwink a women and transport her to a relatively isolated area to assault her.

Haha..Danish lady was a hapless witness to the event. Given language problems and her obvious distress, cops mistook her for the victim, robbing poor Upps Aunty of her one moment of glory.
But that's ok. Upps Aunty is a survivor. She'll be back bearing some other form of victimhood soon.
