So here we ago
another year.. another year with out you
as another year goes by
i work that much harder
to picture you in my mind's eye
your smile
the way you wore your hair
your liquid brown eyes
the eyes that spoke a thousand words
without saying a one
the intoxicating way you smelled

I looked for you, my love
in bars, in bottles, in pills and magic leaves that altered my senses
but i never found you..

I looked for you in dark spaces
and found everything but you
I looked for you in blue pills
and all i got was sleep,
not the kind of sleep that took me to you

I looked for you on two wheels
i rode hard, rode fast
i took turns sane people didn't take
i crashed and i broke
but i didn't find you

I looked for you in arms of other men
they smelled like you
they wore their hair just like you
they promised me the world
but their eyes gave them away

I looked for you in the stars
i asked them if you still remember me
I asked them if you still loved me
They just twinkled and laughed
Valentines day and the Irony of it all
they get it..


So another year
another year without you
you left me laughing
but here i am after all these years

looking for you..
