It is true that the Nadars of Tamil Nad are an industrious, influential and good looking community. They have also done very well outside of India wherever they have gone. One of them ( Ralph ) even stood for elections to become US President, and won a lot of support but unfortunately he lost.

In Vijayawada, on Governorpet road there was a well known departmental store owned by a Nadar family. May father used to shop there. They used to have their own brand of coffee.
