Investing in Stocks Empty Investing in Stocks

Last week, a young TCSer approached me and asked if he should buy Bank of America.

And which brokerage firm he should open an account with.

After some thought, I told him - Open an account with Vanguard.

Choose Total, Mid cap, Small Cap, International Index funds - and invest "regularly", even if $50 per month, in these.

Nothing beats this.

So says my experience of decade+.

Depends on which decade numbers you look at.
The experts say investment style should match your risk tolerance, time horizon, time and willingness to do homework and some luck and intelligence.

That is a typical "Financial Adviser"  reply TBT :-)

A REGULAR investment in Index Funds - is a long term - Best approach, IMHO.
