As per the Indian constitution it is the elected MPs who choose their leader who will be the PM. So by declaring their PM beforehand, the BJP is in violation of the Indian constitution.

The decision of making Modi PM candidate has been taken by RSS which consists of unelected individuals. Their anointing Modi as PM candidate is what is turning India into a wishy washy democracy.
