My foolish friend
Just saw my colleague crying. He had had another fight with his lady love. What an ass.

If they behave like egoistic jerks, then no girl is going to run after them.Rashmun wrote:Kinnera wrote:why is he an ass?

Btw, if he were running after a girl, he wouldn't have fought with her. rite? He would've done everything to please her and not fight with her. You said 'another' fight, which means they fought many times before too, but then got back together again. So it's all good. Their bond is strong.

How do you know he had a fight with his lady love? How do you know he was not crying because of kidney stones?

Did you overhear them fighting? Did she look upset? She could have told him about MH370. How can you be so certain that they had a fight?

Re: My foolish friend
In the beg. of my career, this slightly senior colleague of mine used to like this another colleague. He was pretty open about it, as in we all used to sorta joke about it. She began dating someone else, some other guy in the company itself. He got sick when he found out. Real sick. Sorta cried too. I went up to him and put a hand on his shoulder and consoled him, I felt so bad. Later, he told the girl his feelings and got his heart broken further. He would check out the guy's picture on intranet and smolder. I would smolder along with him.
We moved on to different projects. Later, he got a very short stint as a resource manager and at the same time I was on bench. He put me in ultra-exclusive inner frameworks project with PAID enterprise 2-month training. Only 5-6 people were put on it in the entire company. The rest my friend, is history. I owe my entire career to that guy, literally.
What I mean to say is, if someone is crying, console them. Do not call them an ass.

Crying at work? In everyone's sight?
Does she work in the same office?
This lack of data issue is so frustrating.

In my opinion it is the woman's prerogative to become emotional in the course of a relationship. He is an ass for being so excessively emotional in this matter.

he may have suggested that she gift her friend who lost someone close to her in the MH370 disaster with a shawl and a $100 gift certificate, and she may have called him an idiot and forced him to sit on a sharp object that soon disappeared up his posterior orifice. that may be why he was crying. how could rashmun be so sure?harharmahadev wrote:Rashmun wrote:harharmahadev wrote:Rashmun wrote:harharmahadev wrote:

I'm starting to think this 'friend' doesn't exist. It's rashmun who fought n cried n is now upset with himself for being so foolish in love n crying.

Acc to Rashmun, this is past the "you impress me I impress you phase", so let's cut the chase( or run). These people seem to be already involved and the fights or emotional outbursts are from that. There is not enough information to comment about the 'strength or character' of the two involved as well as of their bond.

We'll totally side with you. We don't even know the other two people so don't worry. Tell how you feel.

Re: My foolish friend
If someone beside you is obviously upset, won't you make an attempt to talk to them, at least with an 'Are you ok?'? That could help him open up. If he wants to talk, he will. Else he could say, 'No, I am fine. Thank you.' And then you just move on and do your thing and he'll deal with his grief. But you making that small conversation is the most natural and courteous thing to do. Is it not?Rashmun wrote:Kinnera wrote:Did you make an attempt to talk to him and find out why he's upset?Rashmun wrote:harharmahadev wrote:Rashmun wrote:Just saw my colleague crying. As nearly as I can tell The reason they are fighting is because he tried hitting on a girlfriend of a mutual friend of ours ( including things like holding hands) and the boyfriend of the other girl found out about it. And subsequently I am assuming so did his own girlfriend. Now the reason I know about the second girl is because I am a good friend of the other guy ( the one whose girlfriend the Caucasian guy was trying to hit on) and he told this to me.

Re: My foolish friend
From what i understood, they are in a relationship and they fought before too. And obviously, they got back together. I think these are pretty common in a relationship and if they are back together again, there's some bond/love left between them.smArtha wrote:Kinnera wrote:If they behave like egoistic jerks, then no girl is going to run after them.

Re: My foolish friend
She may or may not have shared my pic. That's not the point here. Hypothetically, let's say she did...why did the other person ask for my pic in the first place and/or was willing to see it if she was showing it? And after seeing it, they shld've just appreciated it and STFU. Instead, why do they have to go around telling ppl that she shared my pic? What kind of a character is that? That's a very sneaky behavior and a major breach of trust.Rekz wrote:Tracy is capable of doing this....Kinnera wrote:I know Tracy very well as she's my dear friend. Yup! Hypothetically speaking, they should have said no to seeing the pic if they were offered to see. They should have not mentioned to anyone they saw the pic.
And because they didn't do it, they are sneaky.
