It's good that Congress is not even mentioned in a prestigious constituency like Varanasi. First, it's in UP, on the banks of the holy river Ganga, the oldest city in the world with a continuous culture, one of the 12 jyotirlinga sites, site of BHU, a place where the original 4-lion official Indian national symbol (the sculpture commissioned by emperor Ashoka) with the "satyameva jayate" inscription still exists, and so on. That's pretty much Congress party's death knell, or at the very least, a strern warning to them that they should mend their ways w.r.t corruption, good government, dynasty/nepotism, and many more, if they want to be a player in India.

Interestingly a tale was mentioned about Varanasi. It seems last time, the BJP had not mobilized at all. Mid way in the afternoon Muslims were voting in Huge numbers (as always) for Ansari. Apparently there was as late surge was there for Joshi. 

Now the Political Islamists  are spinning this tale. Apparenly the local MP can be part of the temple (read temple not the Mosque) management committee. So he things that having a Muslim in a temple Mgmt committee is not palatable to the Hindus and they voted in huge numbers in the evening. The (ashrafi Muslim leadership) view everything in communal terms.  Why would the Muslim want to be in the temple mgmt committee. Haven't Aurangzeb and their Ilk not destroyed everything ?www.aurangzeb.info . You see what pushes these guys is not an interest to develop the constituency but sit in Kashi Vishwanath temple Mgmt committee. Isn't one set of Bombs enough ?

 These idiots think Darul Islam and War against infidels even during elections instead of development. They are pulling down the country as a whole and Ordinary Muslims who want development along with them. I just wish there is a movement in India to segregate and isolate the Political Islamists, by ordinary muslims who truly  believe in true secularism.

At the end of the day one of them would get Muslim votes (either AK or Rai) and the other would NOT. It is two horse race in Varanasi.  My guess is that AK will get most of the Muslim Votes. Ak has openly said that people who want to see Modi as PM and AK as CM are upset with AAP. They have left AAP and he knows it and doesn't care because he thinks they are minuscule. He has decided to go after a larger set of more committed people, who vote based on emotions and do not care about results. Moreover they are wide spread in India, and he wants national party status and about 50 seats to influence government and be kingmaker. How good is that? Get voted again and again (until Muslims get a majority, which will not happen for another 20 years) where no one looks at results, as long as their community alone is benefited. These guys will not ask what he does, as long he keeps meeting clerics and give them doles ONLY for their community against the constitution from the national exchequer.

It will be fantastic if Kejriwal wins Varanasi. He will likely fall short, but I hope he comes real close and all the other candidates lose their deposits.
