The Cantankerous Curmudgeon Loser

Once upon a time , there was an author who was trying to write a novel. He imagined the protagonist to be a old cantankerous curmudgeon loser
who was an underacheiver and who was leading a lonely life after his family abandoned him and he was made to retire involuntarily when could find no
employer willing to hire him or give a consulting gig.He was filled with bitterness and his life consisted of participating in an online forum.
The author tried to get under the skin of the protagonist but was struggling in sketching his character.
Thinking that online forums are the best places for finding such characters , the author started scouring the forums.
He found just the CCL character ( Cantankerous Curmudgeon Loser - for the clueless poster) that he was looking for in an indian forum.
The CCL was friendless there also except for a stupid poster. The CCL openly despised that stupid poster before but now that he is the only support , the CCL
cannot despise him openly. The stupid poster is at least very loyal and comes to his rescue promptly when he is under attack. So he just tolerates him.
The CCL is also very petty minded. Whenever somebody objects the outing the real name of a
female , the CCL accuses the poster of trying for some "access". Whenever somebody points to the despicable behavior , the CCL accuses back about some
tribal loyalty. Age, Education,Circumstances etc had no effect on CCL's petty mind which was determined to stay petty.
But the author found one issue. His protagonist was a male where as this CCL was posting under a female name. The author started observing the forums closely
and he soon realized that the CCL is a male loser who was just hiding under the skirt of a female poster. The author started taking notes of how the CCL responds
and takes his bitterness and jealousy on other posters and when he resorts to mocking when he ends up at the losing end of any argument or when he finds
himself in a situation where normal posters usually apologize. He uses his mocking as a cover for his apologies.
The author was very happy and after gathering all his notes started typing his novel happily while secretly thanking the CCL for the inspiration.

PS: Actually , I wanted to suggest to Phlegmy to write the novel himself . That would give him at least a sense of purpose in life. But I realized that he is good at only correcting others mistakes and cannot produce anything himself and that is the primary reason for his short-lived career.

Phew. Had to run dropping everything when bahb from 4 th floor marketing called. Didn't have to time to properly edit. So add the following .

1. Add as in real life also to the sentence the CCL was friendless in the forums.

2. Add the following sentence next to the female handle.

As a child , the CCL used to hide behind any elderly female's skirt whenever he got into trouble and the author realized that he is regressing to the same
behavior in old age also by using a female handle when in trouble.

3. Add the following next to consulting gig.

And horror of horrors not even a "contracting" gig.
