Come think of it, Rahul's chances are actually destroyed by Priyanka.

By uttering one CON word - NEECH - she turned BCs and OBCs against CONartists. Both vote banks sympathized with the chaiwallah and sank Pappu's already leaking ship.

Whatever Pappu and Mani Shankar Iyer do, they shouldn't make the mistake of opening a chai shop. That will bankrupt Mani who lost his deposit in the recent election.

Before Modi jumped in and grabbed the initiative, even the BJP was listless and bereft of strong leadership. Vajpayee, their most popular leader was several years removed from active politics, and power hungry Advani wanted to be PM despite his advanced age and lack of mass appeal. Congress needs some bold leader who can do the same. But with family chamchas running palace politics, any such leader will be portrayed as a disloyal upstart who must be disowned and expelled from the party.

Better Hindi than Modi? LOL! You are the resident Hindi expert now? It was fascinating to watch her during the election campaign. It was like watching a retarded child perform some menial task with exacting slowness. All her speeches were full of hot air and false bravado, devoid of any real sense. As for the people connection - she connected with the poor people in the family boroughs of Amethi and Rae Bareli exactly the way a spoiled brat of a rich zamindar would connect with the people in his/her village. This style of politics may have worked if she had been Indira Gandhi's daughter and entered politics in the 1980s. It may work to a little extent in the family boroughs of Amethi and Rae Bareli, which are as backward as rural India can get today. Unfortunately for the Congress, a majority of the Indians are well past that subservient mindset. So, the hot air and false bravado speeches on which the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty has been coasting for several decades now is no longer going to work. If we saw Modi stand tall as a national leader with very little alternatives in the 2014 elections, we have seen nothing yet. By 2019, when Modi will present his report card for the 5 years of his national governance, it will be evident to everybody across the country that he is the tallest national leader - despite being just under 5' 7" - with truly no other alternative to take his place.

I'm not surprised that some people think so. I suspect that many Indians think that she's good looking merely because she's light-skinned.

Hypocrite is the starting word but that doesn't encompass all of his characteristics. We have to come up with a new name and popularize it so that it gets into merriam-webster and other dictionaries. I propose , "Phlegmy".

What did Priyanka do for India to get that attention... other than having the Gandhi last name. If we have to bring a Priyanka then I support the Chopra dynasty.
