Gujju doctor in US are worse than butchers?
Gujju doctor in US are worse than butchers. Indian doctors in general and Gujju doctors in particular are so notorious in US for their malpractices. Some of the practices of Indian doctors. In order to extract money from insurances they do general cleaning in two visits so that they can charge insurance where as if you go to American doctor they just finish in half the time in one visit. In order to charge insurance hefty amount, its common in US Indian gynecologist opt for C-section instead of normal delivery process, because C-section they bill around $40K where as Normal delivery cost around $8K. If you go for dental they take unnecessary x-rays which doesn't required at all except few x-rays which covered by insurance, but Indian doctors will take 10 extra x-rays so that they can bill insurance. With new Obama care Indian doctors becoming worst than butchers because with new system insurances are not honoring doctors second visit charges for general cleaning. Example, if a patient visit dentist for general cleaning and doctor take two visits then as per new law insurance are not giving second sitting charges, likewise if local allergies, cold, cough and viral fever if doctors dont treat in one or max two visits then insurance wont honor them.

>>>Calling them butchers is of course an exaggeration. But Indian businessmen in general do tend to cut corners. Gujarathis in particular seem to be the worst among them.

Wait...accusing Naarthies for all eveils is now officially over? It is onto Gujju bashing period?
All said, there are crooks who cut corners in critical professions - when an Indian (or any foreigner) does it, it is looked upon as a representative sample of the entire group.
What about the Gult docs who scheme medicare in millions.
Dental business is a tricky business...insurance almost never pays for more than 60 to 70% and the rest are paid by the patients (unlike the medical bills).
I must agree though. Most non-gult Southie docs dont have the guts to indulge in such hanky-panky stuff.
