Those who support/attended Modi's inaugaration: anti SL Tamilian and more importantly anti-tamil

Those who opposed: Pro-SL tamilan and True Tamilan.

That now is a very easy pass/fail test.

I am switching my allegiance to Hindian - that too a Koranic hindian...At least the Ummah will be behind me..... Wink

I agree, and it is not just restricted to upper middle class tambrahms, i think we can safely generalise to upper middle class any caste tamil who grew outside of Tamilnadu. This is some kind of a stockholm syndrome and needs to be researched. They have a very poor understanding of linguistic rights in a federal state and just go by what they think as "common sense".

Looks like I provoked you into a rage.
Please keep rajani to yourself. He is a decent actor but isn't he ugly looking with or without makeup ? He is no kamalhasan. He should have retired to fatherly roles long back. But that is just my non political opinion about him.
I agree with you that rajani did not go to modi cermony to avoid Tamil wrath. He may not share those sentiments but he is boxed into a situation.
whether you believe it or not I am sympathetic to the cause of sl Tamils. However like many of you I believe ltte did not serve the cause of sl Tamils.
An objective look at modi's invite to rajapakse is to get sl to address Tamil problem using respectful diplomacy. Modi's opponents are also aware of this but choose to oppose the visit to score political points. Your own point of view seem to coincide with the political opportunists. Putting an emotional cover does not make that any better.

Considering the Chinese are making inroads into the country, this is a bit of a fine line. As Uppili said in one of his posts, the BJP has the Hindu angle and in that sense it will be quite motivated with regard to the SL Tamil minority cause, most of whom are Hindus. I think the invitation of Rajapakse is not without ulterior motives.

I find that amusing..If anything, you are getting carried away..Rajini is not mine, and don't want him to be mine.. I have my own Superstar:)

*Every day is a new day in politics..this thread was about TODAY..we may have different opinions on this one event- who attended- why and not..

Tomorrow is a new day..with different issues, new interests, changes and decisions, which will affect TN and India as well. Don't think anyone sensible- will linger on about one event..being pragmatic on other issues would be prudent.

One person's melodrama..is another person's passionate statements. One person's well reasoned argument..may be cold, dispassionate with emotional disconnect to others.
*In any case..passion and reason don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Have had enough today..we can discuss the SL Tamil Issues..may be some day, in the future.

BY the time you noticed Modi-ji, the election was already over. What is there to criticize Modi after his win. There are enough "losers" who have been whining about him.

Look at the reservations I expressed about Modi at the time of his selection as the PM candidate in Nov. People sing only praises soon after a marriage. One has to wait for a while to see how well the marriage works before criticizing it.
