For iSlamo-Apologists
The murder of Shaikh Mohasin Sadiq, who hailed from Solapur and was a resident of Hadapsar, on Monday night sparked tension in the area, they said. The trigger for the attack was apparently uploading of derogatory pictures of warrior king Shivaji and late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Facebook, which led to a protest bandh on Sunday.

You sound very proud of this manly accomplishment, Upps Aunty. Congrats to you and those brave warriors who pounced on some passerby and killed him.

Muslims will kill you if you mess around with their prophet.
Sena will kill you if you mess around with their GOD Shivaji.
Everyone should should be aware of the red lines for every group or cult. Do not cross that line.

Hypothetical question:
If the Chaddis had posted pics of Mahamad or "Allah" with 10 heads, the ensuing repercussion would make Godhra burning look like a match stick, and the same Gaywala will STILL be blaming the hindus.
This very same Gaywala disappeared during the Bombay bombing for 2 weeks and on reappearance promptly started supporting Kasab and the Paki terrorists (perhaps sitting in his Verna - I bet he has already changed his car, which he would not dare to mention it...)

Read the comments section to understand the views of people....not the one-sided story of reporters/writers and media.

But the world works in a different way. Most of the time, it is the innocent in the other group who pays for the sins of others.

Merlot,
My opinion is that someone who hates Modi must have posted that stuff on FB. He wanted to provoke the Sena guys and succeeded in doing so.
If Muslims can go on a rampage and killing spree when someone says bad about their prophet, why twist yourself when the Sena, a pack of goons do the same when their demi-god is made fun of?
What is good for goose... (whatever it is)

What does Modi have to do with this incident? That guy did something akin to the Danish cartoons on Muhammad with Shivaji's pictures. That is like waving a red flag for some Marathas.
Try mocking Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Turkey. The results won't be that different.

This is India. Not a great place for iconoclasts. You know what happened in your city recently when a religious flag was damaged. What do you think will likely happen to you if you lived in certain parts of your city and were to say some nasty things about the Prophet or the Quran on social media publicly?
Would you risk publicly saying nasty things about Ataturk when in Istanbul?

Again, are you taking about the murdered guy? Put it another way, let us say you are targeted by a Muslim mob because of what other people of your religion post on the internet. Would you be so nonchalant about this being India and so on?

Killing someone for posting something nasty on fb. that is so far out of line. i cannot imagine that India is this far backwards. those who are supporting such acts in any way should reassess their thinking. totally unacceptable.
Whether the guy who got killed is the right person or not, the fact that a person can be killed for such flimsy reason is revolting.

Well, vicariously savoring the sheer courage involved in ganging up and bludgeoning some passerby is the manliest thing Upps Aunty will ever do. Don't begrudge her these small thrills.

>>>Max,
The only group in India with thick skin are the Tamil Brahmins.
In 1970s, the DK led a procession in Salem, TN where they had a float with a picture of Kanchi Sankaracharya (The one who passed away a decade ago). They had a garland of Chappals around his picture. They also had floats which had obscene pictures depicting Rama having sex with Sita etc. Obviously TN brahmins were hurt. But the old man was not bothered. And TN brahmins did not go on a rampage killing people and setting places on fire.
Btw don't you think Indian Muslims have to develop thick skin as well?

Interestingly, the apologia on this thread for a violent crime is very similar to the arguments advanced by Islamist apologists for violence perpetrated by Islamists.Merlot Daruwala wrote:MaxEntropy_Man wrote:Rishi wrote:>>>Looks like he was an innocent guy.
