NEW DELHI: In an overture to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan's Premier Nawaz Sharif Thursday sent a sari for his mother.

Modi, who received the present, expressed his gratitude to Sharif, and said he would hand it over to his mother soon.

"Nawaz Sharif ji has sent a wonderful white Sari for my Mother. I am really grateful to him & will send it to my Mother very soon," Modi tweeted.
