She certainly would have been admitted - by all 8 Ivies. Just that she probably did not have enough money to apply as she was homeless (unlike the black guy from NY whose father was employed and came from a functional educated family). I remember reading a Florida homeless girl going to Harvard 4, 5 years ago and another NY woman 15 years ago.

I came across a homeless 11th grader in a local school. But, she was not smart or disciplined, but just determined to complete high school. She would eat breakfast at the homeless shelter and lunch at school - saving some for the evening. Ate dinner at shelter.
