Is he Indian-origin really ? Anything about the parents? Sounds like he is a Pakistani Christian.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanishq_Abraham
Tanishq, Tiara and Bijou - All jewels!
Nazranis, apparently. Abraham is the next popular name among them after Thomas.

He's quite likely a syrian christian. Tanishq sounds like one of those "fashionable," non-traditional, sometimes newly made-up names that syrian christians have been giving themselves in the last four or so decades.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Is he Indian-origin really ? Wait...how can he be home-schooled and yet be a valedictorian of his "CLASS"?
But but...did he win any Spelling Bee contest, Intel Competition, Google Competition, Geographic bee, etc..etc..? Just bcz he graduated at 10 rushing through "home schooling" and "Kamnaatti College" courses can he become a Genius?
In US, age really does not matter - until one reaches 50. His resume will have only one thing - graduated at 10. But, he will not go too far.

Why do you say that Tanishq Abraham will not go "too far?" Is it because very few people who have shown genius at such a young age have fulfilled their potential? The mathematician Gauss did.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Rishi wrote:http://www.ndtv.com/article/diaspora/10-year-old-indian-prodigy-graduates-us-high-school-540443?pfrom=home-topstories

Re: 10 year old desi genius?
Is it possible that Tanishq is a close relative of our resident Syrian Iyer? What are his views on Guntur and Tamil Christians?

Why do you think that? Too much of in-breeding among them?
There is a very strong possibility that the Syrian Christian community would enter the ZPG regime (Zero Population Growth) or NPG regime (Negative Population Growth) within a matter of a decade or two. With very low fertility and in-breeding habits the Syrian Christians could experience the “Parsi Syndrome” Efforts to modify the emerging demographic trends in any significant manner are unlikely to meet with much success. This is the lesson which demographers have learned from populations that have made such efforts. Under the circumstances, the community is advised to cope with the new situation rather than to fight it out.

The reason why most young geniuses fail to go far is bcz of the wrong handling - specifically by parents. The first 10 to 20 years is accumulation of ones traits such as creativity, personality, interaction, problem solving skills, etc.. By focusing on single-agenda like finishing by 10 yrs or spelling bee (these kids spend some 6 hours a day on this) or JEE coaching (from 12 yrs) do more harm than good in the long term. Yes they all will be "successful" whatever that term means but certainly prevented from attaining their true potential.
