Ness Wadia vs Preity Zinta

Made me dig deeper into the Wadia family and to those who have not seen it - pretty interesting.

M. A. Jinnah was the grandson of a hindu Gujju who converted to iSlam.

M. A. Jinnah was married to his cousin in a hurry before he went to UK for studies. first wife-cousin died within a year, (and they lived as much as Modi-Jashodaben)

M. A. Jinnah married the beautiful Parsi 18 y/o Parsi, Maryam when he was 42 - AFTER CONVERTING HER to iSlam. Maryam died at 29 in 1929 and was burried in Bombay.

His Daughter Dina wanted to marry a Parsi man Neville Wadia. Jinnah opposed it tooth and nail saying she should not marry a non-muslim (note this point).

Dina went ahead and married became Dina Wadia and practiced Zorastrianism. DINA is 94 and STILL Alive living in NY.

Dina's son is Nusli Wadia, now a Parsi, - Bombay Dyeing owner.

Ness Wadia, a Parsi is Nusli Wadia's son, grandson of Dina Wadia and Great grabdson of Muslim M. A. Jinnah.

Now, M. A. Jinnah married a parsi after conversion and ended up his descendants going back to Zorastrianism.

Jinnah was th only one born, died, and burried in Karachi. Only his other sister is there. All his past and present-day family live(d) in India.

Jinnah - a muslim who is allowed 4 wives at a time - was not known to have had any affairs before during or after his beloved wife's death.

Jinnah - the most liberal muslim (supposedly) thought being a muslim meant only one thing - convert and marry and not allow a muslim to marry any non-muslim no matter what. THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT IRRITANT in any iSlam-other religion equation.

So THIS is a moderate and most liberated muslim...

shows the largeheartedness of hindu majority india that jinnah's progeny are not only allowed to stay in india but are influential people here .

My Muslim friends in Hyderabad don't consider Jinnah to be a real Muslim. His drinking and Western habits make them view him very suspiciously. His opposition to his daughter marrying outside the religion may have been due to political reasons and not necessarily core conviction based.

his daughter is alive. her own words and his letters to her are the source for his "marry any of millions of Indian muslim men"
