a month of modi - your review
My two cents.
He surprised everyone by not saying too many things but focusing on getting the administration settled and firmly in his direction. He may be waiting for budget to reveal his action plan to kick start economy.
Other than minor hiccups by Jr ministers on topics like 370, he and his ministers are focusing on their jobs.
The bjp 's religious agenda is dormant for now ( probably it is too early even by vhp standards).
So what do you think?

He has done more in 30 days than what UPA did in 30 months.

NDA spent more time on the obvious i.e. blaming the previous government (especially, Mr.Jaitley) for current crisis than coming up with creative ideas/strategy. Can they come on the top like Obama's administration, who successfully pulled the country out of the state of shambles, or will keep whining like a 10-year old girl. Considering India's economy is in much better shape than the one that Obama inherited, NDA had to do just a tiny bit of Obama administration's recovery efforts. Their job is lot easier. Let's see if they can meet such low expectations.

Delusional world? I guess Job growth, turn around of auto industry, housing market, pulling country out of recession, eliminating Bin Laden, end of Iraq war all are delusions I guess.Hellsangel wrote:Continue to live in your delusional world, Comrade.

The hunt for Bin Laden started from before Obama's time comrade. Even Libby Hollywood acknowledges that in the movie they made.confuzzled dude wrote:Delusional world? End of Iraq war? Really? You mean withdrawal of US troops?
The country is out of recession? Oh yes! The job market has heated up,I guess. You must really be delusional.
The auto industry bailout started in GWB's time.
Oh! The housing market has turned around? I guess buyers must be lining up in droves.
It is funny what a hypocrite you are, Comrade, when it comes to blaming the predecessor's administration in the US but following an opposite set of rules for India.

"We will be happy if the BJP/NDA comes out of 'campaign mode' and gets on with the business of governing the country," Chidambaram said.
Chidambaram said the government would soon discover that "not all factors are in government's control". He was referring to how the UPA government repeatedly stated that inflation and slow growth was a result of global recession and high crude prices but faced criticism from BJP. "If crude prices rise, what can the government do," he asked.
While saying that the government had a "fair start", he questioned Modi's claim that "there is nothing left behind" by the previous government. Chidambaram said if the PM was referring to cash balance, it was better than when the Vajpayee government left office in 2004. "While it was a negative Rs 2,730 crore in 2004, UPA has left the opening cash balance at Rs 26,510 crore. We don't subscribe to the empty coffers theory," he said.
Chidambaram said if the PM was referring to foreign exchange reserves, then it stood at $113 billion when UPA took over in 2004 and had increased to $304 billion when the Modi government took office. "So, who left behind more foreign exchange reserves," he asked.
