happens right after getting up from sitting. goes away after walking a few steps.

If it lasts more than a week, go see your PCP and perhaps, get an X-ray (not much use), then an MRI.

Nothing that cannot be fixed.

On the other hand, you are putting too much weigh on one side of your bottom...Wink

hmm interesting. what's the physiology behind it? I earlier thought maybe I stretched bad after gym, as I thought this happens more the day after I have done either a high impact cardio or calisthenics.

To your point, for years I have this tendency (which I am also trying to break for years) to tilt towards my left when sitting - be it on a couch or office chair or bed, anywhere. Also, I fold my right leg over my left leg too usually. And this pain is happening in my left knee pit.

When I sit in my office chair, I keep my legs stretched and raised to my seat's level, resting my feet on a makeshift leg-rest, and sometimes right leg folded over the left leg. Then say, I go to the restroom, and I come limping out of it, every time. So I shake my leg while walking and am better by the time i reach my desk. This has been happening for almost a week but not everyday.

Oh some people have a tendency to RUN to the doctor even for a scaratch. To them everything is life or death.

Bottom or leg crossing has nothing to do with it. It probably has something to do with Overdoing your exercise at some point and giving enough time to heal. It could even be tripping on your new high heels and hurting some SLIGHT muscle tear or in the worst case stretching out cartilege. No serious tear is likely.

Only an MRI will tell that (if at all), and that will cost you $300-600 out of your pocket. So wait a week.

If it's a tear, why doesn't the pain last?

I have had a lot of issues coz of my bad posture and injuries, so got curious if this is yet another related issue.

I don't over exert. Anyway, I will be off gym for over a week, so will see if resting helps.

If you go to the doc now she might examine and tell you to exercise light, take rest, and for pain take ibuprofen and schedule an appointment if the issues continue to exist.

Basically, if it is paining, you shouldn't stay in pain and it won't heal. Take ibuprofen and give some time to heal itself.

No, not really. The ibuprofen is for a week or at the max 2 and if there is no improvements, better check with the doc. Unless otherwise the pain is severe.

And, I am none's  disciple except I (me, myself). Thanks, anyway. lol
