CHENNAI: The denial of entry to a dhoti-clad judge into the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association Club at Chepauk in Chennai last week rocked the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Monday, with the opposition parties asking the state government to intervene and take appropriate legal action against the club for the injustice meted out to Tamils.

DMK leader and former deputy chief minister M K Stalin said that several clubs followed similar practices in the state and that the government should immediately intervene and establish the pride of Tamil culture.
