Congratulations India and $kar
Since $kar is "being considered" (Sinice 1984?) for Bharat Ratna for failing in England, and since he "MUST" get his 100 centuries, BCCI has decided to stage a Zimbabwe series. How else can he get his 100s anyway? He had to "rest" after tiring world cup where he played "quality innings" on England, Australia and Pakistan, thanks to Kamran Akmal, Younis Khan, Ul-Huq and other greasy hands.
Now this quality player went to England to "get used to the circumstances," three months ahead according to his a$$ polisher one SM Gavaskar (yes sir, both are MumbaiKARs. Now that he got used to "Wimbledon glory," taking pictures "advising" one low level Tennis player called Roger Federer, he is back to FORM with 52 "attacking" runs in the second test! Please wait till he twists his arm and gets one of the openers out today. So Congratulations India, Indian people, Indian govt for muscling the rules to make him Bharat Ratna! All Indians here, say "jai ho $kar!!" He is also going to own a car racing team soon, because India "desparately is in need" of a car racing event; forget the beggars on Mumbai roads and Chennai roads or the other problems. Oh, those problems are always there yaar. What's new?
Now here is the latest report from Cricbuzz on the QUALITY team which IS STILL # 1 as of today. CONGRATULATIONS for keeping the #1 till date. Do I hear some one mention the record of Pankaj Roy and Vinoo Mankad on opening stand? One of those dead guys must be rolling in their graves. Hmmm...

Day 2, session 1: 73/0 in this session to take the score to 157/0. India started off well bowling a disciplined line and building the pressure, but they never looked like taking a wicket. Strauss and Cook soaked up the pressure and though there were a few loose shots played, none of them went to hand. India's bowling looks pedestrian and largely ineffective. England would look to drive home the advantage after lunch and are comfortably placed. We'll join you soon for the post-lunch session |

you forgot his gem against south africa. but i agree that despite spending a lot of time in ENG before this series, he has been disappointing.
on a related note, wtf is wrong with dhoni's captaincy? wasn't he like the smartest captain ever? street-smart and cool? and his tactical decisions worked like a charm? what happened to it all of a sudden? world cup victory? IPL victory?

Re: Congratulations India and $kar
Quote of Swami Sivananda Saraswati: (NOT verbatim)
"Aim to reach perfection everyday and all the time. The law of life is momentum. You have to move from your position on a regular basis. If you think you have reached the top, since the law of momentum applies, now your movement will be downwards."
That's exactly what is happening to Dhoni and every single member of the Indian team. The name "Mishra" is more important for him to include that guy in the team than another spinner called "Ojha." Why on earth Ojha was included in the team and why on earth Mishra was in team despite his horrible show in the practice game? Draw your own conclusions.
BTW when was the last time Mr. Sehwag was "dependable?" He should have been discarded at least 2 years ago.
