After the Guju Riots in 2002, Modi clamped down on VHP and a tight control over the Kullas - despite what the MIAN ILK whine on a daily basis. With the older woman replacing Modi, the Kullas are rearing their head with the VHP making threatening remarks yet again. I am sure Modi must have instructed the woman to arrest the Mulla and at the same time to sush the VHP - till the elections.

What is this law? is he arrested because he said something offensive about another religion? is he arrested because he used the word devil? or is it because of the words rapists and drunkards? is it because he was a mulla?

he is an idiot to use words like rapists and drunkards. they are inflammatory.
But India cannot arrest people for every stupid thing they say.

navratri, devils, etc., in my opinion, is purely a religious opinion. India should not use law against people who express their religious beliefs. India will never be able to stop non Hindus from characterizing Hindus as weirdos. Hindus do the same to other religions.

Agree...people should be able to criticize Kulla, mulla, and Allah - same way only.

Is it not an irony that Druga puja is followed by the crying/beating their chest Bakr-Id? Perhaps, Durga Devi must be slaying the devils - aka rapists and drunkards - on an annual basis.

In Bakr ID, goats and sheep are slain. In Durga Pooja, chicken, goats and even buffaloes ( depending) on the location are slain. In Christmas, Turkeys are slain.

However, Hasan claimed his comments had been taken out of context.

"I said those words with a particular reference. Devils means those who are drunkards and rapists, not everyone who enjoys that festival. I actually drew attention of Hindus to keep such elements away from such religious festivals," he had told PTI on Sunday.
