...A Muslim cleric arrested for making controversial statements about the 'navratri' was on Wednesday slapped in Gujarat. The incident took place when the cleric Imam Mehadi Hasan was being taken to court after being arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a community by making a remark that navratri is "a festival of demons".
