....should simply declare each other as life-long enemies and just do away with all sugary formalities. There isno way on earth given the religious/historic angle on mutual trust that these two countries can EVER be friends. N and S Korea are doing just fine. China and Taiwan are doing just fine. So can India and Pakistan as enemies.

Relationship will be lot simpler and no question of motives and reading between the lines.
