In the Hellsangel vs Tracy fight, are you staying neutral, or are you taking sides? If you are staying neutral I would like to ask you something.

Re: [madrasi_idiot]
i don't like HA (the feeling is mutual) and we are no longer in conversation. so you can construe i am on tracy's side (notwithstanding the fact that the "fight" does not concern me and is none of my business and thus i am neutral). if you still wish to ask questions, i will gladly answer.

Re: [madrasi_idiot]
for that matter, i am not in any back-channel conversation with tracy either (after she deleted her email id) over phone/pm/email but i like her as i would like any other poster on this board.

LOL. kid talk it is. i am glad i finally did not get dragged in. i am not a vindictive person by nature and i was afraid had i been asked questions about HA, my replies would have been construed as "vendetta seeking" attacks. life is short. forget, ignore, avoid and be happy, raise happy kids and, yes, don't forget to raise happy cows too! raising happy cows is very important because one very very generous man bathes in the urine of the happy cows we raise - http://www.telegraphindia.com/1141024/jsp/nation/story_18957645.jspsouthindian wrote:Nice to read this Kid talk
yenjaaay whatever puja it is for you today or tomorrow. my diwali gift for me this year was a rapprochement with my younger brother who had been disgruntled with me for long. i gave him what he thought was his -- god has given me more than i have asked for. my success in life is not attributable to me. it is a proof of the existence of god.

thank you kinns. i fancy myself a GOOD man. others might think differently. but to me what's important is what i do to prove to myself that i am good. i know i could have done a lot more to prove to myself that i am good but i got burdened by the usual rigmarole that you, me and others got burdened by too. give me the latest on your two brats (i know you killed the daughters). nothing excites me more than learning about kids for i will soon turn 49. i want a DETAILED post and no tip toeing away. :p and let it be on board and public. nothing to hide at this age (not that the was a reason to hide earlier -- or maybe yes; pp prime example for job reasons).

So, you are the Madrasi Idiot? Why Madarasi, and why Idiot? Never mind!
I can't keep up with the MSCD (Multiple Screen Name Disorder- more like a Disease, here!)
Anyways, Hello again Mr. HK!
Nice to interact after a long time. At 49 (which is young), you seem like a kid..well, some 94 year-olds I know are even more kiddish than you! It's all relative:) Looks like you had a nice Diwali celebration.
Take care.

talking about handles, I realized a common pattern recently. I didn't realize this all these years.
Tracy Whitney
Natalia Romanova
Vidya Bagchi
Beatrix Kiddo
I created all the handles for different reasons, mostly soon after seeing those movies. Tracy Whitney was one of my all time fave characters. Almost all my handles are those of vindictive/fighter/strong kind of characters in spy/revenge/thriller stories/movies. Funny... maybe you hero worship characters that you are not in real life, dunno. I usually start laughing during any kind of standoff in any sport, forget real-life fighting. In fact, this is what I hate-but-can't-help about XH... even when we were having our most vicious arguments, I would start trying-not-to-laugh seeing his face, and he would too, and then we would both laugh. Then we would argue again. Best is for me to not see the face I guess, and that's what I try. Same happened with XB (however, in his case, only I would laugh seeing his worried face, and he would incorrectly think that things are all right now).

**** frankly maria there was no discussion going on here save ni-si fights (earlier this year). so i requested pp to delete my handle which he did. i continued to lurk and saw that the forum had descended to an SI ghetto. then HA, after many months, sent me a gtalk message and we started chatting (including about participants in such). i started lurking again and just to test the waters, i submitted this id to pp, charvaka, to test if he would accept it. accept he did. rest is history.

Re: [madrasi_idiot]
Thanks:)
Will share them some day!
Sure, I have met many Sulekhalites and their families. They are really some extraordinary- amazing people, and I am fortunate to know them. Am not sure what's so unusual in meeting people online in the 21st Century *(be it in any social media site) and becoming real life friends.
There were so many online friends who spent some time celebrating Deepavali together with their families. It is really the norm..even in India, in places like Chennai.
*I have often wanted to post good news (weddings, births, other accomplishments) about Sulekhalites you may know for years..or sad news (death and loss)..info which can be posted publicly..as it is done in other places..but, I am hesitant here, and don't want even simple info to be dissected, and unkind or insensitive comments posted- which will be clearly undeserved. It is sad and strange indeed.

don't! this place is filled with vicious reptiles who like to snap at each other, have no concept that a person has the right to hide what they choose not to share publicly, and derive pleasure from digging up information about one's innocent relatives and friends who have played no part in any of these conversations.

Maria, it is nice that you are in touch with many Sulekhites. I have pretty much stayed away from getting close with anybody, you, Kris and GW being the only exceptions. Frankly I am leery of most people here.

Re: [madrasi_idiot]
Thanks GC.
Appreciate the trust:)
The Sulekhalites I was referring to, don't post in this forum (some of them posted in the Old Sulekha CH, but were/are mostly regular bloggers and columnists). There are group sites like this one, where they post, and almost everyone is in Facebook, and now interact there as well.
I am always leery of any place without an "active/responsible moderator", this forum is the only exception, I participate in. When there is moderation- with guidelines..the participants emotionally thrive, build healthy relationships- personal and even have successful joint ventures. And it's not any less fun..and the atmosphere is not dysfunctional or toxic.
Anyways, will be adventurous (!) stop by here from time to time and always nice to see you too:)
Have a good weekend!

I gave up on people behind handles here a long time ago. The last was in 2003. I have stopped asking anything since google helps me for everything. This place only helps me on movie recos.

I presume that the persona some of the characters here portray is nothing like them in real life. I have met a couple of SUCHers (one doesn't post any more) and found them to be extremely bright and likeable. Perhaps I should think up a parody on what is happening here to inject some fun into this place. Have a great weekend, Maria.

corporate -- my comment was about the reptiles here nosing out other people's real personal lives, and digging up dirt on their relatives and friends who have nothing to do with sulekha or SUCH and do not participate in these conversations, and in fact have nothing to do with them. i don't remember charvaka doing anything like that. i do remember him reminding people of their prior opinions on various matters based on their posts here and at sulekha. that however is not what i was talking about.

Sounds like you need a hobby. I suggest you take up kitesurfing.
That way you can go fly a kite and jump into the lake at the same time.
