senate will change hands, but only by a slim margin. so nothing's going to change with gridlock and the dysfunctional congress.

The so-called Gridlock is the safety cross in a democracy.

Imagine both houses of Congress and the White house in Democrat or Repub hands.

I hope in 2016, Dems get back both houses in the Congress as Jeb Bush is likely to win 2016.

Here a hispanic woman might become the Governor - just shows how far the demographics have moved north in this country.

KV should lead a English-only campaign in the US.

What if the hispanics demanded a plebiscite? Will KV support it and merge California with the drug-infested Baja California ?

after repubs take senate, they will have senate hearings on every other issue like coal mine closings,  oil pipe lines across the country, Obamacare etc.  It will be an ongoing political campaign for 2016.

Obama should go around the world for 15 days a month.

-> Blessing in disguise; this, most likely, will bolster Dems chances in 2016 presidential elections.

Nothing. That suits the repub backers well.

IMO a republican president is not on the cards for a long time to come. given that and given how the republicans have gerrymandered their way to a permanent majority in the house, dysfunction and gridlock is permanent. the american people unless they are prepared to ask some fundamental questions about their constitution should stop looking for political solutions to the myriad problems that confront them.
