Sure.. Republicans did great but I wouldn't be so sure about repudiation, as he is the third president in a row to lose both House & Senate in midterm.

Maryland's problems are self-inflicted; going by your logic, Obama should be credited for McAuliffe's victory in Virginia last November.

now that they have both chambers let's see what legislative proposals they bring to the table other than repealing the ACA.

I think Americans were really pissed off.

They were pissed off by

Having a job. Going to work everyday and getting a paycheck.
Low jobless rate (below 6%). People need to be shown a 8%+ jobless rate.
Lack of recession. How could that be?
Better housing market
Rise in Retirement savings. They were mad to see their 401K doing better in last 5~6 years.
Saved Auto Industry. Saving the companies and jobs were a disaster.
Stock market doing better.

I had thought only Northindians and Southindians are idiots. Many Americans are idiots that have shown in this election.

As normal humans Americans get easily bored by comfort and better times than past.

This is no indication of what's in store for 2016. The same Republicans will have tough time breaking the blue-wall in 2016. For one, voter turnout will be much higher in presidential election year. I was looking at my county stats, in 2012, Obama alone got 310,000 votes, yesterday total votes polled were < 300,000.

hillary strategy for 2016-- relentlessly blame congress for everything that's wrong with America between now and nov 2016.

Republicans are indeed master of self-destruction. They can do a Newty and destroy themselves within 2 years - with the Help of Tea partyers and KOCHers. Hopefully, the Senators and congressmen wont get all too heady and start talking bravado of repealing this and over riding that.

But, expect Obama to be on a war path with the Congress. Whenever there is a White-Congress war, White house comes out a winner.

I am sure the stupid Repubs will scream Obamacare, tax cut, capital gains tax cut... and more tax cut...(bcz they know nothing else).

All I know is BABA went up to 108 and I bought a few hundred just in time a few days ago.

The democrats ran from Obama. Mark Levin has a funny take on it.

A big thanks for the GOP victory goes to all the volunteers who got the vote out, especially in states like North Carolina.

Now that ...
- the deficit has been cut in half
- interest rate is at historic low levels
- wall street has rebounded
- unemployment is reduced
- less money is wasted on wars
- more money is granted for education
- and healthcare is covering many of the poor

it's time for the republicans to "bush"whack progress.

Yeah, why should all that past railing against Wall Street looters come in the way of raking in the moolah from a ponzi scheme when the going is good??
