Can you tell me how the word 'Vanakkam' is coined? Just curious.   'Vanangudhal' ? What exactly it means? Do you know? You bow/worship the opponent/entity in front of you? You appreciate the greatness in that person/entity?

Instead of that 'Kumbhidugiren' conveys more pious meaning than 'Vanakkam' bcz 'Vanakkam' sounds more local/colloquial?

Namashkaram must be from Sanskrit..

Meaning of vanakkam is slightly different depending on the context.

When you say kadavuLai vaNangkinaan. Is is devotion and utter respect and submission. When you say it to a king or a leader or an elder, somewhat less.

When you see a friend and grret by saying vanakkam, it is just a greeting similar to good morning.

I do not know the origin of the word but seems Tamil in origin.

The language may be different, but the inherent meaning/intention is same. What he tried to explain is when you start to see the divinity in each and every being/entity/person, you will come to realize that you/he/it/others are part of same single entity. 

When you say 'Vanakkam' it inherently implies the same, since not many do this consciously it feels less important and implies just a greeting..

I did not watch the video.

I ofyen wonder where do you get the time to watch all these videos, music and movies. I have not seen a movie in over a decade in theaters or computer or TV. Now and then I watch a few youtube videos especially if short.

When I said "you" I did not mean you. Actually I often wonder a few others who post links to long videos often. Do these people do a honest day's work?

I do have lots of free time (it is my time) and I spend it in where I like/enjoy rather than fighting over mundane stuff. There is plenty to be enjoyed over in life/world rather than fight over petty things. I do applaud your zeal to protect 'Thamizh' though.  Since you just focused on the language of usage of for 'namashkaram' you missed the higher message he was conveying in that video. Ofcourse if you have no interest it may not appeal to you.
