Well-known character artiste in the Telugu film industry, ‘Ahuthi’ Prasad, 57, died of cancer while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday.
He acted in about 275 films with a majority of them being in Telugu and few in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. Originally known as Adusumilli Janardhan Vara Prasad he shot into fame with prefix of ‘Ahuthi’ before his name Prasad after his negative character role in hit film ‘Ahuthi’ with Dr. Rajasekhar and Jeevitha playing the lead.

Bendu Apparao is a good comedy movie where he is the heroine's dad.
