Hindi fanatic Modi posed with a recent translation of Thirukural in Gujarat although he has nothing to do with it. It was translated by Classical Tamil Institute in Chennai and it was funded and work started a few years ago when Manmohan was the Prime Minister.

Classical Tamil Institute was opened non because of Hindian love for Tamil but to get Karunanidhi (DMK) support for Congress. In fact it was included in the common agenda and Karunanidhi insisted that he could not support Congress without it.
