Is India learning from China on economic growth calculations??? Empty Is India learning from China on economic growth calculations???

For a long time, economists suspected that China manipulated its economic data collection to come with a rosy picture so that the country is positively projected to the outside world. This, in turn, created a chain reaction leading to enhanced investments, the ability to build infrastructure, manufacturing hubs, job creation, wealth creation, etc.

This year, in India, the methods to gather information are changed and pronto! the economic growth is suddenly revised to a significantly higher figure. Looks like, from now on (under Modi), the economy will "grow" like how China "grew" during the last 3 decades. So, CONmen may be celebrating temporarily watching the revised figures for 2013-14 but they will cry in chorus when the figures for 2014-15, 2015-16, etc., come out. Modi and the common man will be having the last laugh.

(CONmen may be claiming credit for Modi implementing some of UPA's ideas. The common man will soon come to know the reasons why UPA didn't succeed with the same ideas. Modi is gradually eliminating corruption in governing, putting emphasis on efficiently following through on policies and he is not allowing con artistry. Naturally, he will get better returns than what the CONgang was able to. Just imagine how Jayanti Natarajan sat on 350 proposals even though they already had environmental clearances. She and her masters were waiting for better kickbacks and hurting the country's economy in the process. The coal and 2G scams are other episodes that hurt the country while CONmen and DKheads tried to fill their bank accounts with black money.)

CONartists were too clever and thought that they would get away with their games.

Garibi Hatao was just a slogan to rob the nation and cheat the gullible voters. Unfortunately for CONartists, DKheads, Jagans, Laloos, Mulayams, etc., the voters are becoming more informed.

Looks like Madam Mohan Singh's legacy will be to silently sit and watch when the Vadras and the Mainos looted the country. His legacy of turning India upside down in the 90s will be forgotten in this corruption mela.
