Good idea..... but CONartists, Sikularists and DKheads will call it repressive and try and cash in politically (........rich states will become richer and BIMARUs will compose more beggar-songs). Anna Hazare will jump up and down in Jantar Mantar.

I agree with introducing state income tax and deleting Indian gov income tax. The states then should contribute to a Indian gov fund enough to run the military and foreign ministry. All oth Indian gov ministries shound be disbanded. So Indian gov will have 3 ministers prime, foreignn and military ministers.
Each state should have a military and foreign minister and sit in a military council and foreign policy council. Any state has the right veto decisions on these 2 matters.
