Aus vs NZ
Australia won the toss and elected to bat, 62/1 after 9 overs; good going. Meanwhile, Saffies obliterated Windies. It is sad to see the Windies suffer like this.

106/9, Boult took 4 wickets in his last 2 overs. Looks like Australia took a page out of Indian cricket book.

This Milne guy is consistently bowling in high 140s, clocked 150 once or twice. Aussies all out for 151, they've scored 30 too many.

Watched the Aussies fold like a cheap tent and now enjoying McCullum tearing them apart.

Great game! Both sides' natsmen were very jittery. McCullum could have buckled down and seen them through instead of swinging the bat violently and trying to finish it off by lunch. Outstanding bowling by Starc, he almost dragged his team over the finish line. Williamson screwed up by taking a single and exposing the tail but he showed nerves of steel by thrashing a six off the very first ball in the final over to get the win for his team.

Re: Aus vs NZ
that was some game. It however screws up seedings for India. Assuming the current form stays, India is likely to end up at the top in pool b and Australia at second seed in pool a. That sets them for a clash in semifinals assuming no other upsets.
Australia is one team India does not want to play at world cup.

...shows that both NZ and OZ have big holes in their batting line up at this time and form.

Stop counting chickens before they hatch. First thing is first, they still have to beat Windies, Ireland and Zimboks to stay atop of their pool, then they will have to beat (SL or ENG) in the QF to reach semi-finals, which is not a cakewalk IMO. Unless this is all fixed, why did they schedule the match against poor UAE @ Perth but not the one against the Saffies?truthbetold wrote:that was some game. It however screws up seedings for India. Yes but their bowling seems to be capable of rescuing them. No one scored big against them.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:

Yes, it is fixed - but not due to BCCI's orders. The world cup will be a big flop show if India crashes out early. So Cricket Australia will make sure India plays in batting friendly conditions.
