brothers salamat and nazakat were modern representatives of a gharana that originated in punjab - the shyamchaurasi gharana.  after partition they became citizens of pakistan and carried the shyamchaurasi torch until their death, one in 1984 and the other in 2001.

here is a lovely raga bhinna shadja also known as kaushik dhwani by brothers nazakat and salamat:
