Gods/idols in the south are dark because black granite is the easily available stone in the south, unlike the white marble in the north. It has nothing to do with the matrimonial ads insisting on white-skinned brides. But yeah, he is right that most matrimonial ads ask for white-skinned brides.
"The women of the south are dark but they are as beautiful as their bodies...We don't see it here. They know dance."
More generalized statements about women being dark in the south. Not true. The matrimonial ads asking for a 'fair' bride doesn't make sense if everyone is dark. btw, telugus are less darker than the ones more down south to them.
Don't know what he means by beautiful as their bodies. Does he mean more voluptuous? Again, a generalized statement.
North indian women not having beautiful bodies is also a very generalized statement. Not true.
Knowing dance is also very very generalized. Not all south indian women know dance.
Yadav also mentioned filmmaker Leslee Udwin whose documentary 'India's Daughter' included an interview of one of the rapists of the December 16 gang-rape. "She must have got permissions easily because of her white skin," he said.
He's damn right about this.
Verdit: he's right only about two things. Matrimonial ads and the permission for the white woman. Everything else is bleh!
