Go tell the muslims that pigs raised commercially aren't dirty. They are pretty clean and free of diseases. One can no longer say that pigs are dirty and stay away from consuming it. It's ok for them to eat pork.

even if it's true that they ate meat hudreds of years ago, the point is that they abolished the practice. the reason for abolishing may have been valid for that time, and may or may not apply to today's times... however, new research show it was a good idea indeed.

one should keep up with the current science and limitations, and use history as a valid source of education, not a rule.

but this douche would want to smoke charas all day, keep a harem, and marry a 1000 wives just coz the old douches did so.

In the 16th century the great Mughal emperor Akbar had said that it is quite all right to eat pork. This is recorded in Abul Fazl's Ain-i-Akbari. Abul Fazl was the court historian of Akbar.
