during his confirmation i remember him saying that his job is not to "pitch or bat, but to call balls and strikes". he has proved he is capable of doing that; twice. a far more thoughtful and sincere man than justice pubic hair, the noisy italian american, and the other italian american.

To me, the campaign promise made by an unknown, young Black Senator who had the audacity to say (and really mean it) that if he was elected he will work hard to shake-up the Health Care system and create major change in the Healthcare for all Americans- *with no denials if one had pre-existing conditions and assistance for those who need it.. is amazing to keep..

And it is thrilling and satisfying for people like me with thousands of others.. who worked hard to get him elected- twice.

Thanks to another young Supreme Court Chief Justice, who kept his promise..being bold, wise and compassionate, and who got the Affordable Care Act sealed.

Since I have interacted many times here and in Sulekha, during the journey to get to this point of Health Care Reforms, had to come by and post again:)

We are successful in some things in life.. things we really want to see happen in our lifetime *through others. This one was huge:)
And there are other things in life..no matter how much we wish and work for.. may never happen, we take that too..try to, with some grace and not too much sadness or bitterness.

I'm happy for Rashmun and Thomas. They can now openly declare their feelings.

We know love is universal, has no bounds and we all love our pets and animals.

Next up: Marriage need to extend including man-animals in our society.

You never know some man/woman may want to spend his/her life with his/her loving dog, cat, cow or camel.

Hello Vivek!

I have my own views on this issue, am for the more traditional man-woman marriage..however, if two people are so much in love and desperate to get married (and enjoy all the legal benefits- and suffer all the problems), why not!

For now, sticking to one's own species may be a good idea!

in the eight years of crap that dubya inflicted on the country and on the world, the solitary good thing he did was to nominate john roberts to chief justice. for that i am thankful. he is surely conservative, but liberals can respect his wisdom. i can't say the same about the other three, and definitely not justice pubic hair.
