Reco for good USB stick cum voice recorder?

Any reco for a good USB stick cum voice recorder? Which can be used in meetings/conferences where you might sit far away from speaker,etc. Also where it can be in key chain as simple usb stick but can record without displaying it is recording (There should be NO lights/LED indication when it is recording). It will be great if it can be used as an inconspicuous recorder where one can put in shirt pocket.

There are quite a few USB sticks available but looking for the best one (in terms of quality recording and from any who might have used such recorders in class/lectures).

I thought a small USB stick/recorder (without the light on) will be more inconspicuous and handy than my phone. I thought students use any such USB stick/recorder for their college lectures/conferences..

If you are planning to record any conversation between you and another person in secret, then make sure it is legally allowed. In some states both the parties should be aware of the recording while in some at least one of the two parties should be aware of the recording (meaning no 3rd person can record any conversation between two other people without the consent of one or other other or both).

It is perfectly legal to record a conversation (if you are a party to that conversation and you do not need other party's consent). (if both parties in same state or in person).
