no iPhone 5 but iPhone 4S. underwhelming response to Sprint as the new service provider, better camera etc etc. nasdaq frigging FLIPPED from +1.5 to -1.5% in mins. BAAAADDDD juju for apple methinks.

What a boring non event? Why did they not kill rumors of Iphone5 early enough to not disappoint market? Tim Cook must have lost lot goodwill. Poor image management. It is not as bad as Netflix but kind of reminded me of that during the conference.

15 months and they come up with this incremental upgrade which can't beat a 5 month old Sammy phone on specs? Siri is nice and all but overall I am very disappointed.

I have said it before, AAPL is very very risky. iPhone is a major source of their revenues and profits and they are slowly lagging behind the technology race due to various reasons:



1. SJ's ego (they refuse to make a 4 inch phone that a lot of people need/want

2. They cannot come out with upgrades every 3 months and alienate their fan base

3. Need to maintain high margins forces them to cut down on features like 4g

Having said that, I wasn't expecting a design overhaul. Afterall, how do you make a prettier phone? When it comes to design, they have nailed it.

This isn't Tim Cook. Their pipeline for the next few years was set under Jobs's watch. But it sure sucks how they blew it. I had sold my AAPL stock near the all-time high for over 100% return in 2 years. Then like an idiot I got back in at 380, and now it's at 370.

it was definately handled differently than when jobs was at the helm. I said it's an inauspicious start, not a fuckup fully on tim cook's part but it will not put people at ease. btw, google got downgraded today by GS..cant remember when that last happened. have a feeling that these two guys have had their best days behind them.

True, I was thinking how Jobs did not anticipate this. I mean, he knew he'd be out of the top job this year, and he knew Cook's first product should not be a damp squib, yet this is what they had in the pipeline. Makes me wonder.

I think the GS downgrade may be premature -- they cited Facebook, didn't they? Facebook IMO is a fad that is dead more than Google is.

I agree abt facebook - how they're going to eat google's lunch is beyond me at this time but the vampire squid have fart smella analysts.
