Media is to blame - Beef, Caste, Shaitan, Bhoot Pishach?

Media is to blame to highlight inane topics when it comes election times.
Either they are "paid agents" of political parties, or they do not have the IQ of an IITian, and hence became a journalist.
Political parties are playing divisive vote bank politics like they always have - Beef issue, Caste issue, DNA, Shaitaan, Bhoot pishaach etc. used by different political parties!
But whats the role of the media?
To ensure that political divisive mindset reaches the normal junata?
Or, if a responsible media choose to do so -
To ensure that what is important for ordinary citizens to reach the political parties?
This one-way communication of what in BJP said on beef, who in RJD said about Vyapam etc. got to stop.
Media is for people to tell these so-called leaders, not to report what these political parties want to tell people.
Media is the voice of "people".
People can not be reduced to the ears of media.
They should be the "mouth" of media.
Its high time that this TRP system was scolded by SC.
Media has become a medium of corrupt politicians to spread corrupt ideas.

Do you consider killing a fellow citizen on the suspicion of eating beef as an inane topic? Are you suggesting that the media should have downplayed it as another road accident?

Do U even know how many kids die out of hunger (of hunger, not disease, just because they are hungry!!) in India each day?

You are missing my point. Democracy is about each institution/pillar of the system working for people. Their voice. Their needs. Their thoughts.
Judiciary in India has a long way to go, given that a barely passing 12th class student decides to become a lawyer in India, if not with a fake certificate (That's the root problem, not lack of judges or HC/SC).
But I blame media because they are the ones who spread news. They can choose what they spread.
For political parties, or FOR PEOPLE.
Media is People's voice in a true democracy.
They are merely reduced to various political parties' views.
NOT OF PEOPLE!
Freedom of Media :-)
