Have you noticed ? Animals...or pets ....they do not get bored

They can perform the same set of actions and eat the same food for years and years .They live entirely in the present

George Carlin used to say about dogs

"They can't make anything happen ...instead they respond to actions of their master ." So true

I try hard not to get bored

But today I will say was a challenge LOL

To sit idle and waste time and yet without getting bored is an art - not everyone can do that.

It is easier to get a Nobel prize than achieve nothing by doing nothing.

We attach a lot of importance to action ...physical action that is ..this done fix that . we are told "early bird gets the worm : and all that

when sadhus sit to meditate what are they really doing hour by hour .?..day by day

.not much ..the end result takes eons to come if at all ..of Nirvana

When we don't do anything as u say it does not mean that we are achieving nothing .

Those of quiet serene temperamet can go for hours staring at a spot on the wall

Bottom line ...It's all in our head how we want to make ourselves feel
