Yes...they need to be promoted....bcz they cannot compete fairly.
Only thing that is worse than BC/OBC quota system is the woman's quota system. Even more dangerous it is worldwide. A woman with 50% credentials of a man is good enough for any position.

that goes true the other way too. a woman has to be twice as good as a man to be promoted. at equal capabilities, he would be chosen. she didn't come up from a quota. she came up just coz nobody thought only men must be promoted. guess that's the difference.
that's not the main takeaway of that interview, anyway. she was talking about general state of india, and partially how modi govt helped it.

Thats is a myth propagated from "once upon a time"
Beyond a certain level, what is more important is if the person is a "team looter" and has a publicly clean image free from controversies. Now they intentionally look for such a person in a woman.
In hindsight, James Watt was right.
