....In the controversy over Agra doctor Ramesh Nagar's death in a road accident on Yamuna Expressway, in which the deceased's family had alleged that a car from Union HRD minister Smriti Irani's convoy had hit him on March 5, Delhi-based advocate Dimple Arora, the owner of the Honda City car with registration number DL 3C BA 5315, surrendered in Mathura district court on Wednesday.

Does it mean, the doctor victim's family - including his daughter and brother - lied at the instance of politicians?

I don't think they purposely lied. The may have been fed that information by people claiming to be eyewitnesses. And there may be several who came one by one to the family accounting the incident.
