Zakir Naik: "One must follow the path of the Almighty" #Fraud CnIy9YjUsAAY90b

Islamic televangelist Zakir Abdul Karim Naik cancelled his return from Saudi Arabia to hometown Mumbai on Monday morning, triggering speculation that he is dodging police after allegations that his sermons influenced a terrorist killed in the July 1 Dhaka siege....

Bangladesh has banned Naik’s Peace TV, saying it incited the attack on a Dhaka café in which 22 people were gunned down by young, educated terrorists who belonged to affluent families.
His trouble compounded after suspicion that his speeches inspired 20-odd people, who disappeared from Kerala and feared to have joined the Islamic State terrorist outfit.

Mumbai, July 11: Zakir Naik, the Mumbai preacher whose sermons allegedly inspired two of the July 1 Dhaka terrorists, has cancelled his plans to return from his Saudi Arabia pilgrimage today.

Maharashtra intelligence sources said there was "not much evidence so far" to connect the televangelist with terror groups, and that neither Naik nor the state government, which is probing him, was in favour of his immediate return.

A source said that state home department officials had spoken to Naik and advised him to return only when "the situation calmed down a bit". With the Shiv Sena demanding his arrest, the BJP government wants to avoid a law-and-order issue and a politically tricky situation, he explained.

"It's a win-win situation for both Naik and the government if he stays away from Mumbai now," the source said. "There's tremendous media focus on him. He will come back when things normalise. He has a solid base in Dubai."

A Shia group that calls itself the Hussaini Tigers has placed a Rs 15-lakh bounty on the head of controversial TV evangelist Zakir Naik.
“He (Naik) is a ‘khalnayak’ (villain). He has insulted the Prophet of Islam and whosoever kills him would be rewarded not only in life [and beyond]...but would also get cash reward from us,” Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi, the president of the outfit, said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Naqvi is son of senior vice-president of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board and prominent cleric Syed Kalbe Sadiq.
“Naik is a ‘kafir’ (heathen). He has insulted the Prophet and radical clerics are defending him saying he has no connection with the terrorists,” Naqvi said.
The bounty announced by the Shia leader amounts to criminal intimidation, an offence under Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code that carries a maximum seven-year jail term. Though several political and religious leaders have made similar statements in the past, few were penalised under the law.
