Melania may have worked ILLEGALLY
....Looks like She came in on a Tourist Visa (based on Trump's explanation) but also worked on a H1B visa (on Trumps contradicting claims).
Of course, this also wont stick as people have become desensitized by Trump's flip-flop contradictory statements.

I guess Trump really learned what he knows about immigrants from his wife.

He certainly didn't learn it from the illegal immigrants that the Democrats were brazenly flaunting, while those legal immigrants who just wait as long following all the rules of course deserve no respect.Idéfix wrote:I guess Trump really learned what he knows about immigrants from his wife.

PS: I have heard two first-hand anecdotes- one from a military family, on how the State Department officials gave them the runaround during the immigration process for their minor step-children, while they showed preferential treatment to Spanish speaking immigrants in front of their eyes. Guess what! That build resentment towards the policies of the Democrats and strong support for Trump.

Good argument by second-hand anecdote! Ha ha! That Libby arrogance is what will cost the Democrats votes.

Let me quote Reagan the Great (pbuh): http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=44128
We must also recognize that both the United States and Mexico have historically benefited from Mexicans obtaining employment in the United States. A number of our States have special labor needs, and we should take these into account.
Illegal immigrants in considerable numbers have become productive members of our society and are a basic part of our work force. Those who have established equities in the United States should be recognized and accorded legal status. At the same time, in so doing, we must not encourage illegal immigration.

Trump has a thing for illegal immigrants from Eastern Europe... he hired illegal Polish immigrants for the Trump Tower project. And this... http://www.nationalreview.com/article/431933/donald-trump-foreign-workers-american-workers-arent-good-enough

this is an example of false equivalence that the libbies are so good in practicing.
a minor violation(apparently it is not even true) in visa terms to illegal immigrants.

US immigration law is clear on the penalties for lying on visa forms. Applying for a tourist visa, getting into the country, and working on tourist status is not a minor violation.
Whoever knowingly makes under oath, or as permitted under penalty of perjury under section 1746 of title 28, United States Code, knowingly subscribes as true, any false statement with respect to a material fact in any application, affidavit, or other document required by the immigration laws or regulations prescribed thereunder, or knowingly presents any such application, affidavit, or other document which contains any such false statement or which fails to contain any reasonable basis in law or fact—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 25 years (if the offense was committed to facilitate an act of international terrorism (as defined in section 2331 of this title)), 20 years (if the offense was committed to facilitate a drug trafficking crime (as defined in section 929(a) of this title)), 10 years (in the case of the first or second such offense, if the offense was not committed to facilitate such an act of international terrorism or a drug trafficking crime), or 15 years (in the case of any other offense), or both.

Ha ha, the great glut admin likes to get technical when it suits him! And what does the immigration law say about illegal immigrants? That they must be rounded up and deported?

first of all, the visa issue is a non-story played up by the media.Idéfix wrote:garam-kuta wrote:this is an example of false equivalence that the libbies are so good in practicing.

second of all, its like saying riding a bike w/o helmet is a crime. so is murder. so we should treat the murderer and bike rider the same way.

Re: Melania may have worked ILLEGALLY
The question with the Melania Trump situation is one of hypocrisy. Her husband routinely vilifies immigrants who break immigration law. But he used such workers on his Trump Tower project, and it is clear that his wife performed work in the US before she had authorization to work. She talked about returning to Slovenia multiple times every few months to get her visa stamped. That is not a requirement for H1B visas, and what she described is consistent with staying long periods of time in the US on a tourist or business visa. Now they are trying to spin the story as "she wasn't paid for that nude shoot," as being paid for the shoot would be clearly a violation of immigration law.
Imagine someone makes a big deal of people riding bikes without helmets, calls them rapists and criminals, and then it turns out that his own wife had owned a bike, there are pictures of her sitting on that bike without a helmet, and she mentions in interviews about not owning a helmet. It is possible to argue that she never actually rode the bike so she didn't break the law, but it still seems rather fishy.

Maybe the great glut admin can get technical and tell us which visa needs to be stamped multiple times in your home country? Even visitor visas are usually granted for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 10 years.

Visitor visas. Read your own text. Usually they give people of working age visitor visas valid for 6 months or a year, particularly for your first few trips to the US.

Btw, if Melania did not make regular trips back home to get her visa stamped, why do you think she concocted a story to that effect?

6 months is a long time.... Looks like you want to get stuck on technicalities. Most people of a 'working age' I know have 1O year visitor visas.

Most people barely remember their immigration and visa histories unless they had to struggle through it. But if you want to latch on to the technicalities, be my guest.Idéfix wrote:Btw, if Melania did not make regular trips back home to get her visa stamped, why do you think she concocted a story to that effect?

Is the difference between a long-form birth certificate and a short-form certificate a technicality? We are dealing here with the spouse of the leader of the "movement" that championed that difference.Hellsangel wrote:Looks like you want to get stuck on technicalities.
The US has been granting visitor visas with longer validity in the last 10 years or so. Back in the '90s, both my business visas were granted for 6 months. Most of my colleagues and friends who made the occasional business trip to the US had a similar situation -- applying for a visa for every trip because they wouldn't issue them for longer until you had already made several trips and returned to your home country as expected.Hellsangel wrote:Most people of a 'working age' I know have 1O year visitor visas.
That may be the case. But how does someone who didn't have to go through the inconvenience of returning home every few months for a visa invent that out of whole cloth? Someone who had to go through that inconvenience may forget having gone through that. But how does someone remember something that didn't happen to them?Hellsangel wrote:Most people barely remember their immigration and visa histories unless they had to struggle through it.

You mean using the methods Drumpf proved that the president isn't a natural born citizen?

Ha ha! That was a predictable response from you, Il Professore. Thanks for that. So deal with the corrupt payments Shrillery received through her foundation and the corrupt payoffs she has made to people like Khan. BTW, there is proof of her payment.
And deal with Obambi's sympathies to radical Islam.

Agreed. Instead we should support for yet another Bengazi hearing (25th?) and 65th Obamacare repeal. And lets not forget that Obama is a practicing Muslim.Hellsangel wrote:If she worked here illegally, just prove it already or feel free to twist yourselves into a pretzel.

Hahahahah... Ohohohoh....hahahaha....Melania the bombo Trump...WILL be in soup.
But according to news website Univision, immigration attorney Michael Wildes, who worked for The Trump Organization, alleges she was married before. Wildes said that Melania "obtained a green card four years earlier in 2001, 'based on marriage,'" Univision's investigative unit says. He told the site: "Ms Trump received citizenship in 2006 and prior to that she had a green card based on marriage.
Assange...you should get Trumps documents on his marriage, and Taxes...it will be a treasure load of info.
