Even with all their training with professional  'voice experts' - modulation/inflection/intonation/timbre/decibels etc., many times there seems to be a disconnect between the emotional content of the news and them delivering it.  I guess, with some of these 'anchors', there is so called 'added value' to the optics, as they say these days.

give it a listen: the first, top left panel, at ~0:30
here, she outlines a hurting accident in midair with dozens injured, and in the same breath says 'let's go, have fun'

Looks like their success is more due to their clout and/or the added value of glamour, rather than talent - anyway they get professional training once they are hired. I always wondered whether the NPR Diane Rehm show is one such - for a talk show host, her voice is not exactly the most desirable, IMO.

Don't they read everything out of a teleprompter? In any case, "let's go, have fun" sounds most inappropriate to the situation. She is(or was, at one point) attractive and she is Jewish. Sufficient enough to qualify her.

I remember she was one of propa's favorites sometime ago.

Although not one, she must be well connected to that castu, that has quite a monopoly in that profession, at least in most metropolis regions.
