Shillong June 7: In another setback for the BJP in Garo Hills region, more than 5000 youth workers led by the president Tura BJP Youth president, Wilver Greham Danggo today resigned from the primary membership of the party.

Dangoo tendered his resignation before the State BJP Youth President Egenstar Kurkalang. This enmasse resignation is in opposition to the recent notification issue by the Centre to ban cow slaughter.
In a statement issued to the media, Danggo  said that BJP government was making an attempt to suppress the tribal and other community who consume beef.

He lamented that Modi’s “sabka saath sabka vikas” is not going well as cow vigilantes are killing people for cows.
