I called him dumb etc yesterday, but I've changed my mind after news came out that he only tweeted this out because the NYT had his balls in a vice grip.
Someone called him a kid in a WaPo article. It is important not to infantilize a 39 year old man in charge of a vast global corporate empire. He knew what he was doing. He is quite simply a thug, and the son of a thug; a thug who was ready to collaborate with a hostile foreign power to help his father's election chances. We need to change the way we talk about these people and call them the criminals that they are.

Don Jr. is not very bright. He is where he is thanks entirely to his grandfather's fortune. He has learned from his father that lying through your teeth pays off. If you grow up as a billionaire, there are not a lot of people who call you on your bullshit. As his father put it, "they let you do it." Hence the utter disregard for propriety and norms.
