I hope they cover these stories in Indian media. In India you don't have to be a celebrity to get away with sexual assault and brag about your exploits. So Indian men think they will get away with it.

Yes Indian movies play a big role with their stupid plot lines about how a woman will fall in love with her harasser if he is persistent enough in his stalking and harassment. But this goes beyond the movies. The fact is, Indian society as a whole does not treat this as a real problem.

Around middle school, which is when bragging about such "conquests" begin. Crowded buses, trains and markets are places which provide such "opportunities". Sometimes by accident you end up touching people because the bus/train is packed. Once people realize how much they can get away with, they do it repeatedly.
