The relationship between President Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, has disintegrated to the point that they have not spoken to each other in weeks, and Mr. McConnell has privately expressed uncertainty that Mr. Trump will be able to salvage his administration after a series of summer crises.

Trump acts like he has something to hide on Russia. Why does he need McConnell's protection if he is innocent and the Russia thing is Fake News? Time after time, he behaves like he is guilty of something serious. He is more upset about McConnell not protecting him, than with their joint failure to pass a healthcare law. There is something definitely black in this daal.
